Updates on Covid Requirements at Acorn Orthodontics

We hope this finds you and your family in the best of health.

Whilst many things have changed, we want to reassure you that we remain committed to your safety. We have always maintained the highest standards of infection control and will continue to do all that we can to keep you safe.

The UK Health Security Agency have now archived COVID-19 guidance and both England and Wales have taken steps to clarify nation specific guidance as we continue to transition back to our general IPC arrangements.

We have created a list of headlines below

What is changing

  • Face Covering and Masks

For Patients, visitors and contractors: Face coverings are no longer required to be worn in practice by patients, visitors or contractors. There is an exception to this, where a patient has           respiratory symptoms and upon arrival should be given a face mask and separated from other patients and colleagues in time and space to be seen.

  • Screening

Screening questions are no longer required, either before the appointment or on arrival. Patients should advise the practice if they have any respiratory symptoms and previous arrangements          apply in this case (i.e. having their appointment deferred or in an emergency being seen in practice with additional precautions)

The Infection Prevention Control checklist is no longer required.

  • Patients messaging and signage

All COVID related posters in patients areas have now been removed.

Hand Sanitizing upon arrival no longer necessary and pump has been removed.

We will kindly ask patients with any respiratory signs of symptoms to telephone the practice for advice prior to their appointment.

Social distancing is no longer required (unless a patient is being see with respiratory symptoms for an emergency appointment)

Best wishes from all the team at Acorn Orthodontics
